How World of Knowledge Works
World of Knowledge is an English language board game in which players travel from the centre of the board, clockwise around the outer track, and back to the centre. Movement is earned — a player must correctly answer a question to advance the number of squares they rolled. An incorrect answer means they stay in place and wait for their next turn.
For English Language Learners
The game was originally designed for learners of English in Myanmar, but the questions cover everyday English vocabulary, grammar, and general knowledge topics that are relevant to learners from any country. It works well at pre-intermediate to intermediate level (roughly A2–B1).
Classroom and Group Use
The game plays best in small groups of three to six. Players take turns rolling the dice, attempting a question from the card pack, and moving forward if they answer correctly. The question-and-answer mechanic keeps every turn interactive — even players waiting for their turn listen to the questions and answers, reinforcing vocabulary and structures naturally.
What Is Included in the Download?
The download is a single ZIP file containing two printable PDFs:
- The game board — a full-colour printable board sized for A4 or letter paper.
- Question cards — a complete set of World of Knowledge trivia and language cards, ready to print and cut.
No account required. Click the download button, save the ZIP, extract both files, and print. You can be playing within minutes.
Using Your Own Question Cards
The board works with any question set. Teachers often create their own cards — targeting specific vocabulary from a unit, grammar structures they are practising, or topic-based comprehension questions. The board stays the same; only the card content changes.
