Why Division Chains Work

Division Chains turn a list of isolated facts into a single connected problem. Because each answer feeds directly into the next step, a student cannot skip ahead or guess randomly — every answer has to be correct before the chain can continue. That single constraint changes the whole feel of the activity from a drill into a puzzle.
