How many scales appear on each printed worksheet?

 Each worksheet contains exactly 9 scales arranged in a 3-column grid. If you have selected multiple weight types, the 9 slots are shared evenly — for example, selecting oz, lbs, and lbs + ounces gives you 3 scales of each type on the same sheet.

What is the difference between the "lbs", "oz", and "lbs + ounces" weight types?

 "oz" produces scales with a dial that goes from 0 to 12 ounces with half-ounce subdivision marks. "lbs" produces scales reading from 0 to 11 pounds with quarter-pound marks. "lbs + ounces" uses a smaller 0 to 3-pound dial and asks students to read both the whole pounds and the remaining ounces — two answer blanks per scale.

Can I mix oz, lbs, and lbs + ounces on the same worksheet?

 Yes. Check any combination of the three boxes in the weight settings panel and the generator will distribute the 9 scales evenly across the selected types. Unchecking all three is not possible — at least one type is required to build a worksheet.

In metric mode, why are there no separate grams options?

 Metric mode always uses a single kg scale that spans 0 to 3 kilograms. The dial face is divided into 100-gram increments so students read the weight to the nearest 100 g. Both the whole kilograms and the gram remainder are written in the answer blanks, matching how a real analog scale is read in the metric system.

Does switching between customary and metric automatically regenerate the worksheet?

 Yes. Clicking either radio button triggers a new worksheet immediately — no need to press "Create new scales" separately. The weight settings fieldset for oz and lbs choices is hidden automatically when you switch to metric, since metric mode has no sub-options.
