How to Use the Addition Maze in the Classroom

Addition mazes work across a range of classroom situations. All problems use single-digit operands, so answers stay within 2–18 — making this worksheet a natural fit for Grade 1 to Grade 3 addition fact practice.

Warm-Up Activity

How many steps does the correct path contain?

 The path length is calculated automatically based on the grid size. For a 5-row maze the path covers roughly 15 steps; for a 6-row maze it is roughly 18 steps. Wrong paths lead to dead ends, so students must work carefully.
