What Are Multi-Digit Addition Worksheets with Regrouping?
Multi-digit addition worksheets in vertical column format stack each addend one above the other, aligned by place value. Students add each column from right to left and regroup (carry) when a column total exceeds 9 — writing the tens digit above the next column and the units digit below the line. This is the standard algorithm taught from Grade 2 onward and the format used in most assessments.
