Printable Multiplication Times Table Maze Worksheets – Free Generator

Generate custom printable times table maze worksheets in seconds. Students follow the path of correct multiples through the grid – a fun alternative to rote drilling, perfect for classroom or homework use.

This free times table maze maker generates a unique printable worksheet every time. Each worksheet contains 4 or 6 mazes, each drawn from a different times table (1–10). Students must follow the sequence of correct multiples from the upper-left corner to the lower-right corner — wrong answers lead to dead ends.

Choose how many mazes you want, set the multiplicand range, and download a ready-to-print PDF — no login or registration needed.

How to Use the Times Table Maze in the Classroom

Times table mazes work across a wide range of classroom situations. Because each worksheet contains up to 6 different tables, a single print run covers multiple skills at once — ideal for mixed-ability groups.

Times Table Drill Alternative

Instead of calling out tables or using flashcards, hand each student a freshly generated maze. They must recall the correct multiples in sequence to navigate the grid — a more active form of the same drill.

Differentiation by Multiplicand

Use the Nr multiplicands setting to pitch the difficulty correctly. Choose 10 for students working on basic tables (Grade 3–4), 15 for those extending their knowledge, or 20 for advanced students in Grade 5–6 who need a genuine challenge.

Early Finisher Task

Print a small stack in advance and keep them on hand. Students who finish their main task early can pick up a maze and work independently without disrupting the rest of the class.

Pair Competition

Give two students the same maze and start them together. The first to correctly trace the full path wins. Disagreements are resolved by checking with the solution page — turning mistakes into a learning moment.

Homework

The PDF is self-contained — students need only a pencil. The editable instruction text lets you add context or a personal note before printing, making the worksheet feel intentional rather than generic.

FAQ for the Times Table Maze Maker

How many mazes appear on each worksheet?

You can choose between 4 or 6 mazes per worksheet. Each maze is drawn from a different randomly selected times table (1–10), so the same table never appears twice on the same sheet.

What does the "Nr multiplicands" setting control?

It sets how far into the times table the path goes. Choosing 10 means the path runs from 1× to 10× (e.g. 5, 10, 15 … 50 for the 5 times table). Choosing 15 or 20 extends the sequence further and automatically switches to a larger grid size to fit the longer path.

Why do the grid size options change when I pick a different multiplicand?

A longer times table sequence needs more cells to hide the path. The generator automatically adjusts the available grid sizes so there is always enough room for the correct path without making the cells too small to read.

How does a student navigate the maze?

Start in the upper-left corner — that cell shows the first answer in the sequence (e.g. 5 for the 5 times table). From there, colour or mark the neighbouring cell that shows the next correct multiple and continue until you reach the lower-right corner.

Does the worksheet include a solution page?

Yes. Tick the solution checkbox before downloading and the PDF will include a solved version of each maze, with the correct path highlighted, on a separate page.
